    They are weaner steers just off their mothers. Farmers have been offloading their cattle the last year or two due to drought and not being able to hold them.
    These are highly sought after cattle for restocking. With the rent rain, and it’s been raining in Tamworth all day today as well, competition for these young cattle will be hot. Rain on the sale day can greatly influence market prices.

    RFF don’t raise or buy and sell cattle. Their tenants do though.
    Farming is a long term activity, that’s why farmers can average their income over 5 years due to the boom/bust nature of conditions they endure. RFF tenants are highly experienced farmers who wouldn’t get into too much difficulties, they’d be well prepared.

    It’s a slow and steady investment. Farm land will always be growing in value IMO as food becomes further in demand.
