mortality rate from covid in Aus is atypical due to the success of the states/territories in controlling outbreak and preventing hospitals from being overwhelmed as has happened elsewhere, and also thanks to the excellence of medical care in Aus.

below is the agreement-related breakdown for China where health care is somewhat comparable. and the lower table is from New York City Health.

    COVID-19 Fatality Rate by AGE:

*Death Rate = (number of deaths / number of cases) =probability of dying if infected by the virus(%). This probability differs depending on the age group. The percentages shown belowdo not have to add up to 100%, as theydo NOT represent share of deaths by agegroup. Rather, it represents, for a person in a given age group, therisk of dyingif infected with COVID-19.

In general, relatively few cases are seen among children.

    April 14 Data

For comparison, below is the data provided byNew York City Healthas of April 14. It can be noted that the absolute number of deaths of patients without underlying conditions was actually higher in this earlier report compared to the May 13 one, signaling the data has been since corrected and revised downward.

by the data here you can plainly see that ALL age groups are susceptible and have had deaths recorded.

Yes the older ppl are more susceptible but so are you.

Do the world a favour and get vaccinated.
