not sure that an AGS and GIR merger will ever happen, although, I can confirm that Heathgate have extended their mining license right up to the fence line of GIRs holding at Deep South, and are actively drill testing around that area to extend the resource....

ithaca is correct in stating that GIR still has a number of strings to its bow

1. Zinc Co spin-off (which will be capitalised somewhere in between UTO and RHI for the benefit of GIR shareholders). Tightly held companies perform well.

2. Snake Well gold resource extensions will be announced in the next quarterly and the company will move to first gold production late 2007 early 2008 after purchase of a heap leech mining facility worth $US 1.2m.

3. Further spin-offs. A second iron-ore spin off is being considered, or possible spin off of their Nickel Assets.

4. Lake Frome uranium. The prize of GIR's uranium assets, and one they decided to keep for themselves rather than spin out to UTO. (need I say more).
