yes the change in climate is inevitable, with or without us. we will never be able to stop it.
I do believe we can influence it. The extent of that influence is an unknown to me. It may be negligible, it may not be.
i do not believe that anyone on either side of the debate can claim they have the proof based on their model. We do not know enough to be able to build a definitive model. Happy to support people being skeptical of outcomes that are based on modelling, this is healthy.
It is the people that are 'skeptical' about the green house effect or that we contribute to it i have little time for. This is the 'science that is in'. The modelling is just theoretical mathmatics and is far from being 'in'.
as stated earlier to me it is not about the carbon or the temperature, it is about polution.
carbon is nothing more than a means to measure our polution and while not perfect probably a reasonable one. The fact that the debate focus' so much on carbon and its political ramifications just serves to cloud the issue.
One other certainty is we will advance our knowlegde on this. Is it worth it? well thats another topic all together.
