    Continuing on from the Salta government's recent visit to our facility, it looks as though the government officials are preparing the local communities to what the future holds. Today they released a statement explaining what the future holds for Salta Province residents. Simply put, it's more jobs, more cashflow into local communities and skilled training through socially responsible corporations.

    It's been a long and winding road for our 10k approval, but there appears to be movement at the station.

    The transformation of Salta into a mining province willhave a great productive and social impact

    This was stated by the Ministerof Production and Sustainable Development, Martín de los Ríos, in the frameworkof an event that brought together, in Cafayate, the most importantpersonalities of the mining activity.

    The Minister of Production and Sustainable Development Martín delos Ríos participated in the event "Thinking Big aboutMining" organized by Banco Macro, which took place yesterday in a majorhotel in Cafayate.

    In the panel Perspectives and Challenges of Argentine Mining, he sharedthe dialogue with the president of the Argentine Chamber of MiningEntrepreneurs, Franco Mignacco, Diego Pestaña, president of the Chamber ofSuppliers of Mining Companies of Salta and the manager of Business Banking,Adrian scoscería

    Asked if the country isundergoing a change in the production model, leaving behind the agro-exportparadigm, the official said that mining will complement agro-industrialdevelopment, taking an increasingly prominent place. In particular, hemaintained that "the transformation of Salta into a mining province, dueto its contribution of critical minerals such as lithium, silver and copper,will have a great impact on all productive activity and the social developmentof the people of Salta."

    "We see that the foreignerwho comes to Salta for mining found a friendly, pleasant place with growthprojections in which the conditions for their integration exist," said theofficial. "This will also have an impact by raising educationalstandards, because the exchange of knowledge and technology always generatesgrowth between both parties."

    He explained that the growth ofmining activity in the Puna is immense and the Province of Salta permanently manages thenecessary improvements in terms of infrastructure: "we are aware of thechallenges that the growth of the activity has and we work to be up to of thedemands".

    In addition, he valued the workthat is done with the communities “which are very demanding, which isabsolutely correct. They deliberate and reach agreements through theSocial Tables and participate in participatory environmentalmonitoring. And the exchange also enriches companies, which are committedto their capacities and plan and execute very important transformations fromCorporate Social Responsibility”.

    The event was attended by the Secretary of Energy of the Nation, FlaviaRoyón, the economist Juan Carlos de Pablo and the political-economic analysisof Argentina by Alejandro Catteberg, president of Poliarquía Consultores.
