These guys were certainly easy to spot, being quite amateurish (illogical, even nonsensical connections in their arguments). But they still manage to derail whole threads with the direct feedback they manage to attract. While I am no expert on this, (and it’s easier said than done) it may help to never respond to them personally, rather than providing general clarifications if absolutely necessary, as it otherwise gives them a degree of credibility that they seek.
