Let’s pretend for a second that your “enquiry” is genuine.
We already know that you have recently stated that it is “madness” to be holding AGY btw.
Do some research and you will find that we have built and operated an industrial-scale pilot plant, producing and shipping over 20 tonnes of BG carbonate for product qualification with potential end-user customers.
The process employed is based on conventional Li brine processing, but required tailoring to suit our brine properties. Pablo’s extensive experience in this industry has enabled him to develop and refine this specific process; there is no simple recipe.
You assert that there should be a problem with the scaling of this processing, however this assertion is apparently based on “low quality resource” and “needing lots of ponds”.
What you fail to recognise is that the work that had been completed to date has enabled the team to specifically identify the pond and processing requirements.
We have 38 hectares of ponds.
We have an industrial-scale pilot plant.
We KNOW what the pond requirements are for an up-scaled operation.
We KNOW what equipment, reagents and energy we need for the plant.
That was the whole point of a fast-track approach to the industrial-scale pilot plant. PROVE product quality with low scalability risk.
We are NOT trying to move from a bench-top lab-scale to commercial production. There is no “hope and pray” that the process flow sheet works at scale.
Given your recent history of “dropping into” many Li stock threads, waving your cross-promotion banner, I suspect this is not actually a genuine enquiry or concern, and therefore my response above is purely for the benefit of others who may be new here and may be unsettled by such assertions.
They are baseless.
Pablo knows the general pond requirements for 10ktpa, and has used the early works to estimate the capital and commercial production costs as per the PEA.
Saying that the ponds will “have to be immense” to “compensate for the low lithium concentration” is effectively meaningless.
Testing has been completed with real ponds and real equipment, not bath tubs and test tubes like many other juniors at the start of their journey. Those others have many hurdles in front of them btw.
2ktpa commercial plant being built NOW and in operation next year, with expansion to 12ktpa to follow.
