Any commentary on recent massive shorts covering paired with big price falls gully?

I think most plausible scenario is related entities buying up during the rise on a separate account, and then that same account sells to the related short coverer on the way down.

The main buyer they're selling to on the way down would be the account / entity that is doing the short covering. That way:
- entities hedge their short losses by buying on a separate account on the way up
- no transparent record of shorts closing on the way up
- shorts covering on the way down provides huge volume liquidity for related buying entity to sell into.
- shorts don't end up being out of position from price going up
- overall results in less shorts to cover after it necessary, and also now less total % shorted so they have more ammo to short again if they want
