Ha, "Shorters keeping away! Hmmn - sitting daily on the ASIC reports Feb.6th to Feb.13th @ approx. 25 million shorts (need to consider this relative to daily t/over). I can't see the level of shorts being compared to the MC as relevant, it's the daily volume of shorts relative to the daily t/over. Only 2 days traded in excess of 25 million since mid-September 2022. (How & when will the shorters close off?, shorters generally play short-term, suspect with AGY & other Lithium stocks at preset, they are letting things run for extended periods ) the 25 million being constant, tends to validate my thoughts) :
Then recent days - daily, a small trickle added approx. 200,000 Feb.15th, then over 380,000 Feb. 16th - not large relative to t/over, its the 25 million sitting with ASIC data that's available to play!
What we don't know, are the shorters allowed to take multiple positions?: - Buys - Sells - Borrows - Options
Some say shorters provide opportunity, perhaps so - I question if they are in a position to drive movements?
They are not transparent, they are not available real time.
Regarding chartists, just how do shorters impact your charts?
May AGY prove in time the shorters have misplaced their expectations! Suspect they (shorters) won out today!
