Why would shorters be playing with a stock like this if they didn't have the edge, go through different stock tapes and you will see signs that some people have different information to others, its money, its this worlds currency, you expect people to play by the rules? Of course people risk it, go and do some research and look at the cost of people being caught compared to the gains, white collar crimes dont come with much of a deterrent and for the one person who is caught they have 10 mates to put them back on their feet. But back to my point do you think if they didnt have an edge they would be messing around with AGY which could gap up 30% on the news? I don't think they would, easier ways to make money. The reason people short is because its a different game and they have more info than retail traders. Watch the tape and you will see what I mean.
