I agree with what you said at the end, although the man might be an ispirational genious and very capable. The company does need a level of critical evaluation in it's decision making amongst it's own board to minimise decision making errors, and to promote growth and positive change. Yea what you said was hypothetical but in doing so you identified a well documented psychological theory (groupthink) that could well restrict the company as a whole from reaching it's full potential.
thats just my 2 cents, happy to be enlightened if i'm completely wrong
