I'm not sure you read the audit opinion for the Allco hybrid investment trust. They have not signed off on the accounts. They explicitly said they would not:
"Owing to the material uncertaininty regarding the valuation of the preference units issued by ....we were also unable to satisfy ourselves as to the amount for which these liaiblities issued by ... will be settled.
as a result of the limitations on the scope of our audit and the resultant multiple material uncertainties above, we are unable to obtain all the information and explanations in order to form an opinion on the financial report.
... we are unable to and do not form an opinion as to whether..... the financial reports and notes comply with financial reporting standards."
