In the TLDR edition: BRN makes tiny, learning (AI) chips so you can put massive computing power close to the end point (edge). Edge is great for some applications, generally:
- remote facilities where internet connections aren't available (NASA work out in space, or MARS*)
- remote facilities where internet connections don't have adequate bandwidth (think remote mine sites)
- production facilities where you need instant response times
(* I'm sure it's coming soon to the only planet entirely populated by robots).
