AI data centers in the future, need huge amounts of new electrical generation to run them. Most likely in my opinion there will be a lack of generation capacity in the future. It will take years of Nuclear reactor design time, permitting time, site preparation time, construction time, start up time, to get new nuclear reactor generation online.
Also when real, honest, science is used to compare renewables, the environmental impact of renewable energy has greater environmental impacts than the use of fossil fuels. EV autos vs ICE autos is perfect comparison. EV’s have significantly more environmental impacts than ICE vehicles when the full life cycle is compared, including mining, processing, production, assembly, operation impacts, then disposal impacts.
The US EPA is hopefully going to become science based, instead of pipe dream, activist based. When, if this happens, the majority of green energy options will be found to have greater environmental impacts, or be found to be not a viable option with current technology and costs."
