another Noob here, newish to this company and only a tad less...

another Noob here, newish to this company and only a tad less newish to share buying.
I don't understand why a company would buy shares in AIY for $0.30 per share when they can buy them at $0.075 on open market. Even if it took a month or more to buy up the volume they want? I'm sure there's good reason, but I simply don't know enough about how things work to understand it?
