Metrocoal Limited (MTE) is an Australian coal-based energy company focused on projects in the Surat Basin in South East Queensland. The company aims to build an energy and coal business based on; export thermal coal from underground mining and where possible, open cut mining; and Underground Coal Gasification.

MTE holds coal exploration tenements covering approximately 4,000km. The company aims to identify an overall coal resource of 2.5 to 3.5Bt by the end of2011.

JUANDAH PROJECT: The project is an area of approximately 60km within the Wandoan tenement, EPC 1164. An application has been made for a Mineral Development Licence over this area. MTE aims to identify a coal resource ofapproximately 250Mt with the Juandah Project area.
