I assume that Indian professionals would have similar problems to other Asian nations with the hierarchical structure and culture (Koreans would be a prime example I think)
I can't remember off the top of my head which air crashes were affected by the silence of pilots and engineers who didn't question the actions of the chief pilot - even knowing the orders and actions were wrong -
but, there was more than one.
It's an area where one would be better off with a big mouth American. Although what worries me with Americans is that they are in a culture of 'individual actions' - which is another problem.
I probably like the way Aussies work in this area - maybe French too, but, French are a bit too polite - one doesn't need 'polite' in instant action and cooperation times - one needs to bark it out when necessary and stay calm when necessary.
There would be other nations I'd trust - if I knew them better - probably something like Finland and nordics - very possibly Canadians and New Zealanders - hard to say without knowing the culture well.
But, in the end - if I 'have to fly' - and I have choice - I fly Asian - is it safe? No - but, by god they do the soft comfort - best of all.
If you die - you die.
