Airbnb (ABNB) shares rose 14% in Wednesday afternoon trading, a day after the company posted forecast-beating Q4 results.
The company reported Q4 earnings late Tuesday of $0.48 per diluted share, up from $0.08 a year earlier. Analysts polled by Capital IQ forecast $0.27.
Revenue for the quarter that ended Dec. 31 was $1.90 billion, up from $1.53 billion a year earlier. Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ projected $1.86 billion.
The vacation rental platform said it expects Q1 revenue of $1.75 billion to $1.82 billion. Analysts polled by Capital IQ are looking for $1.69 billion.
