So who were the criminals? We went to Tassie recently and toured a jail from the old days. Around the jail were plaques featuring the stories of some of the inmates and their crimes. Real criminals like murderers and thieves were hanged, but there were others, women thrown into solitary confinement (a small room with no light) for 'insolence' or refusing to shag their masters. Most of the so-called 'crimes' were of that nature and by the time I left I no doubt as to who the real criminals were. Australia was built on slave labour and the problem is not that we are suffering from the descendants of 'criminals', the problem is that we are still slaving under the descendants of the jailers. The criminals I am talking about deporting are ones that would have been hanged back then.
