I have made the exact same point here- I understand why gov't use progressive tax scales (so they can take more and spend more), but that still doesnt make it fair by definition. You wouldnt expect I have to pay more at the pub for a beer due to my high income would you? I guess you are happy for the system to continue as is since you pay no income tax and enjoy pensioner discounts...
