Sydney - Monday - January 19: (RWE Aust Business News) -
The three airports owned and operated by Queensland Airports at Gold
Coast, Townsville and Mount Isa achieved above average growth for
passenger movements for the 2008 year.
"This growth was achieved largely in the first half of the
year," QAL Managing Director Dennis Chant said.
"As with other airports worldwide, our airports experienced more
difficult conditions during the second half of the year but it is
pleasing to see that they have mostly stayed in positive territory."
The QAL group recorded 532,952 passengers in December, an
increase of 4.13% compared to December 2007.
Australian Infrastructure Fund (ASX:AIX) owns 49.1 percent of
QAL.
