No, oddly enough there were no information pamphlets, videos or other information. Only a brief sign at Manila Airport that said thay were remote-testing passenger temperatures. They had a device kinda the shape of a video camer on a makeshift pedestal pointing down the arrival corridor 2-3 official looking people looking at a monitor connected to the camera.
At HK there were no signs but the same camera looking device looking down the arrival lounge at arriving passengers, also official type people staring at a monitor (No camera exiting Manila)
I'm pleased to say that I didn't see anyone pulled over by the officials.
I know what you mean about missing a connecting flight. If they used a standard test, you would have to wait for your results for around 8 hours.
RBY tests take 10 Minutes. Should cause less agro!
Imagine being quarantined with other sick people for 8 hours waiting for your test results. If you didn't have bird flu at the end of that, you would likely have some other infection!
I vaguely recall the same type of testing in Sydney during the SARS scare.
Are there any other travellers out there who have seen the same set up at other airports?
