You should think again.
The SMSF is the way to generate wealth, little to no tax and you control your own investments. It can be shares or property, even overseas property.
Last year 3+ million in profits, dividends and franking credits and NO TAX. (Mostly thanks to Grange).
With a SMSF, if you never go over the $1.6 million cap ie. funds put into the fund originally via contributions then all profits and dividends aren't taxed once over 60yrs.
Anybody who wants to control their own destiny should start a SMSF, I have two SMSF's and I've made my kids millionaires too.
