I get where you're coming from, and from what I've seen in the media a fair few bigwigs have expressed concern that people don't realise how expensive this "clean energy transition" is going to be... especially if governments are going to be in a rush to try and hit climate emissions deadlines (and good luck developing some kind of alternative conductive material to copper for electrification in the meantime).

I guess the investment thesis would be that if the price of all energy continues to go up, at least if you've invested in copper you'll be in front of those who didn't (in this hypothetical scenario which may or may not play out). A lot still depends on what happens with China though.
