2500 people at a supposed "quarantine hotel" have been unaccounted for and were NOT tested before being allowed into the public. 55 people released on "compassionate reasons" which were also NOT tested.
This was over a week ago and the minister of health, prime minister, and other officials have been asked multiple times for the data to which they all reply "We don't have that information".... sounds like we never will.
Now we don't know if any of these people were positive or negative but they have been allowed to travel around NZ a few weeks. Yet another example of how our government lacks any insight.
There are many scenarios that this could result in but let's hope that 99.9% were negative. Another lockdown is definitely not ideal
