I am from NZ and the two cases of the UK tourist were not controlled at all.
They came in contact with many people during their supposed "quarantine" period and lied to officials about what they did here.
NZ's border control is not as good as its made out to be... lots of turmoil in NZ politics atm about how the border is being handled.
