You are wrong. The new variants of Covid are infecting young people and some are falling gravely ill. This is from overseas because we don't have enough people infected in Australia to experience that. Also long Covid is being widely reported overseas but there are only a few cases here again due to our low rate of infection. Some people are still unwell a year after first catching it so there is plenty of evidence of long Covid including in young people. When the Chinese first identified Covid in their population they immediately took extreme measures to contain it because they knew the threat it posed. Districts were shut down, apartments had their doors welded shut, there was an instant death penalty for anyone caught outside. Why do you think they panicked like that ?????
