2) You have said all that you need to say. You have admitted that you have no evidence they did or did not object. So for you to accuse Ms. Engel of lying for saying that they objected was just dishonest. She may have far more evidence about the background of talks between the government and industry during this time which has led her to make this claim. We don't know. Regardless, we cannot call her a liar based on her statement, as you have. But we can say that your claim that she was not being honest is not based in any fact (as you have admitted.)
