Both scenarios will not happen under the current PM and Ministers in charge because
1. The PM and Ministers in their personal and political view don't see current gas and energy situations as a crisis because their overriding idealogical stands on net zero.
2. Same as one
Interesting recent news say IMF says UK economy is heading for recession because of high tax imposed by the PM and Chancellor. But back when Liz Truss was PM, IMF said her tax cut was not good economic policy and that led to her resignation. So much flip flop policy in the UK it is hard to know what are the real policies of the government
