The dark pool trades are part of the daily course of sales - there is a video in that link that explains how it works the idea is both sellers and buyers jump the queue and split the .25c bewteen them - they are also invisible so as to not show their hand.
As a separate issue yes you dont have lodge a substantial holder notice until you get to 5% then a change in substantial holder notice every time you move 1% ( thats of the total shares on issue )
