Many reasons for attracting shorters , making money is the obvious one.
The other important one is if the company (AJM) has upset a insto/fund etc....their payback if you like is to halt the companies progress by stagnating its share price and market cap.
Another one is triggered by parties that want AJM to not move forward by creating a false perception there is something wrong with the company and create anxiety with investors
We will never know what the real reasons are, but my suspicions are all the above.
