Well, interesting movement today.

My theory.
O>N have just had a stunning year of profit.
They are now the second biggest Chinese battery co after CATL.
They are part of you could describe as a very large new energy consortium.
They have a huge number of vehicles listed in both cat 1 and cat 2 in China which means they will be getting a disproportionate exposure to EV sales.

Now, when I look at how China runs I ask myself the question.

I would be fairly confident we will not get good terms fro Europe or USA
So, why is O.N not helping James more with finance.
They have added a board member but they have not finalised and made the B.O.A official yet.
Signing a BOA would no doubt help somewhat in getting finance.

Consider they have a 20% stake now.
AJM have funds through to about mid year so will be wanting finance done by end of April latest I guess.
Say nothing happens by then and O.N come in with funding for another 30% making a JV.

So, the theory is that they are not assisting with finance for a reason as they want a JV

Now I am not saying I'm correct but it would make some sense so is certainly possible.

I agree with you grizzle, i think they have sent us so far down a certain path that we are now in a poor position to negotiate. They can dictate terms. Only my opinion and I'm hoping I'm wrong but it's looking more and more likely management has been out maneuvered. I'd by very interesed to hear SOSs opinion on this especially with his view of management. Or was that the source?

Again all speculation and happy to be proven wrong. Hopefully we're on the wrong path with this.
