The test for technical analysis to predict the future is surely compromised by the lack of input of events that can be anticipated, such as the ramp to nameplate.
Technical analysis has a place when businesses are mature. Thats when the market forces will help the Tech analyst with prediction. For example the buying of gold during the Indian wedding season and the gold buying after the Asia harvests. Tech analysis can show the buy when those and other season come around, and also the periods when buying is less likely to happen.
