I work in advertising which in itself isn’t that interesting or relevant to our ongoing conversations here, that said however in 20 years I can’t remember retail brands advertising on TV that sales until June 30 are tax deductible, quite like they are now.

Obviously there’s a significant chance I haven’t been paying attention particular to this phenomenon before but I’m reasonably confident that this is one of the most profound tax relevant trading periods in recent memory.

When it spills out into retail consumer advertising it’s quite unusual imho.
