My thoughts would be they may have off set any sales revenue that had already occurred at time of compiling the report against the forecast spend. Perhaps subsequent expected sales revenue they haven't included in the forecast as they are not yet of sufficient degree of certainty.
Then again they may not have off set any sales.
But that's just in my humble opinion and I am more that happy to hear the thoughts from any corporate accounting types out there.
