Not sure why you regularly pump Livent's tyres on the Allkem threads on hc. Here's yet another example.

Yes, Livent has solid state battery technology which they announced back in 2021 but they have now fallen back to feeding into another company's efforts to develop ss batteries. I found no indication that Livent is currently at the forefront in commercialising solid state battery technology for EVs. As it happens a leader in this field is Toyota which is already linked with Allkem through the Olaroz and Naraha operations. For you to ignore the obvious Toyota connection with Allkem and attempt to make lemonade from a lemon - which is Livent's failing attempt at getting some solid state battery action - is pretty weak imo.

The reality is that while Livent has been a major player in the lithium sector for some 80 years they almost had a Kodak moment in missing the arrival of Tesla and the EV revolution. Much like the legacy American car manufacturers Livent was slow to the EV game and has been forced into playing catch-up.
