I just don't see it like that. You have Albermarle, one of the biggest players in the game, who are selling Lithium products of all sorts and know the costs, prices, market, supply, demand, etc, as well as anyone, and they are saying we are happy to fork over $3 per share (over $6 billion) and still have to cough up money even to get it into production. Their Chile operation alone runs until 2040 under the old favourable rules.
Thats not overvaluing LTR in my view, that should be setting a floor price on a lot of companies. In particular, as per my post, why not throw pretty much the same amount at AKE and pick it up (at todays price, not possible I am sure, but just for arguments). This would be what I can only see is a longer term much better diversified, producing, option. Again, this is not saying LTR is overvalued, I think they have done the math and see their offer as good value for them at this price. I just think that offer severely undervalues someone like AKE and I don't really get it.
I mean people are still buying LTR day in and day out above the take over offer price.....
