I think it is very wise, or at least reasonable, to believe that charts cannot predict future share price movements. There are just too many variables affecting the movements to be predictable.
However, since charts are very informative, as you said, can we say that charts are a tool for us to make an intelligent guess on future SP movements? Surely you can live with that?
