Yeah, i'm guessing a combination of the NDA's and the possibility of not wanting to get too ahead of themselves. In saying that, they also have to make sure that they maintain momentum.
Who knows, we may see more of these press release's to fill the gaps between official announcements. Better to read these than chew my nails off in anticipation waiting for more info.
