Interesting readout of exactly where Intel are at with development of Loihi.
My take on this article, is the test chips been in the labs for 15 months so far and the only steps towards commercialization they can take is to announce a ramp up of more neuromorphic research projects at more universities. Seems like a lot of academic pencil sucking being funded by Intel.
I guess we should never underestimate this behemoth,but with BRN's commitment to have the release of the Akida FPGA out this quarter- only a week or so left - this will be a significant achievement considering progress by Intel to date.
@GL77 re our affiliation with ABR. We may be able to do something with ABR but I believe we will need Akida FPGA first.
