AKO DSO startup capital should be well under AU$100m. I’d like to think well under $50m. Initially the goal will be to minimise capital costs so I think AKO will accept some higher operating costs initially to lower the capital costs. This looks like roads built to lower standards (lower truck speeds and more maintenance required), using barges at port to avoid major marine and port side works.

Once the initial capital is paid back, the road can be upgraded and the port infrastructure can be built to reduce operating costs.
