My memory is far from perfect but each time they needed money Bart either coughed some up himself or went straight to soph investors eg Lau brothers 2016.
It is possible they need more $ to really get this going, but somehow they have a line for manufacture already set for the end of the year.
Personally I think it's so tightly held he will just demo and go to sophs. If it bangs out great sound they won't need to spend on marketing- will sell itself.
