thanks vintage - are you able to point me in the direction of anything over the last few years that mentions Sony? I am hoping you are correct as I am ready to buy... but I cant see a single reference to Sony in the last few years. Given the value that having a relationship with Sony has - I cant see why they wouldn't refer to it in any capacity (annual reports, presentations etc) if it was still live. Are you sure the latest chips are produce by Sony? I am not so sure.
I will happily apologise if proven wrong here.
