Esther Han has just posted on The Age online that on the ABC's 7:30 program, Al Gore has criticised Tony Abbott's plan to scrap Labor's price on Carbon:

"... The former United States vice-president, Al Gore, has weighed into the debate over links between bushfires and climate change, saying the government shouldn't bend to the will of “special interests” groups which dismiss climate science evidence.

"It reminds me of politicians here in the United States who got a lot of support from the tobacco companies and who argued to the public that there was absolutely no connection between smoking cigarettes and lung cancer,” Mr Gore told presenter Annabel Crabb on the ABC's 7.30. ..."
