This debate has become so supercharged with emotion, IMO it's time to sit back and consider the evidence. For mine, it seems silly to apportion the blame for the current bushfires solely to AGW.
At the same time, claiming that the current bushfires are just a normal part of OZ summer are probably simplifying the situation too much.
If I had to apportion "blame" I'd go for:
Current weather: 50% Past seasons lush growth: 25% AGW: 5% Arsonists, lightning, army explosives 0% Unknown: 25%
