Should give you a good idea of the process from mining the ore to finished product. https://www.lynascorp.com/SiteCollectionDocuments/Fact Sheets/Concentration_Plant.pdf https://www.lynascorp.com/SiteCollectionDocuments/Fact Sheets/Lynas_Advanced_Material_Plant.pdf

The process for phase 1 goes like this:
The Mt Weld concentration plant is designed to processes 121000t/pa of ore that produces approximately 33000t/pa of concentrate with a grade of 40% REO (13200t REO). The LAMP process the 33000t/pa concentrate to produce 11000t/pa REO. That's achieving approximately an 83% recovery rate. Essentially, what AL is trying to communicate is that Lynas are trying to make the whole process more efficient. Trying to increase the concentrate grade from 40% REO to say 45% REO and trying to increase the recovery of REO during processing at the LAMP from 83% to say 90%.

Also, Lynas are trying to increase sales of high value end product. Does not mean they are trying to increase the amount of Nd/Pr they produce while discarding Ce or La. Simply means they are looking to sell more product to individual customers specification instead of a generic, of the shelf item. Although, if they can increase the REO recovery rate at the LAMP to above 83%, they will be producing more REO.

I believe Lynas had plans to sell a portion of product on the spot market. Clearly this is no longer the case.

I am certainly no expert on this subject, this is simply my understanding. Happy to be corrected.
