AML3D looks to be the only (soon-to-be) listed "wire-feed" 3D printing technology listed on the ASX opposed to "powder-feed" 3D printing. It’s been proven that powder 3D printing can be dangerous and hazardous hence the strict procedures surrounding the storage, transport and use of the metal powders. Wire feed 3D printing uses "wire" that isn’t hazardous or dangerous and can be easily stored, transported and used without the stringent, costly and time-consuming process needed to be put in place for powder.
The other major advantage that AML3D's wire-feed 3D printing technology presents is that there is a vast number of different grades of metals that are available in "wire" form but not available in "powder" form. This opens doors to a much larger customer base and much larger range of products/jobs that can be tendered for and completed.
A simple comparison below between AML3D (A3L) and Amareo (3DA) shows just how big the advantage is and no wonder why the stock is in hot demand.
Amaero (3DA) - Avaliable metals and grades that can be used. (Taken from website).
