alan carpenter to resign

The editorial in the West Australian newspaper this morning regarding the mounting pressure on the Carpenter goverment and the inevitable shift to permit uranium mining in WA means that Carpenter will have to resign if he has any honesty or integrity left.
He has categorically stated that there will be no uranium mining in WA on his "watch"!
Well Alan, there is nothing more certain that WA will succumb to demands of the international community and begin to look at the commencement of U mining very soon.
Carpenter seems paranoid regarding the storage of waste material in WA. Again, if we mine it, and we surely will, we have to take responsibility for the safe storage of the waste.
Other responsible countries throughout the world have not been shirking their obligations. Why should WA.
Carpenter will "buckle" to the demands not only of the international community but also his own Federal masters.
With such a litany of bungles under his watch so far, he cannot afford to be out of step with the world.
The typical myopic and insular vison exhibited by the Carpenter government must change and if not, Carpenter will resign to keep faith with his stated position.
I expect a flip flop from Carpenter because he has already demonstrated on numerous occasions that he is not man enough to lead WA.
