Julia Gillard has finally asserted her right to be treated with a modicum of respect:

"... "I understand that there is interest from members of the media about the matter involving Mr Alan Jones," Ms Gillard told reporters in Launceston.
"It's not my intention to make any comment about that matter.
"The only thing I want to say is this: Both I and my family have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support for us since the death of my father.
"From the bottom of my heart, I'd like to thank Australians in their tens of thousands who have been so warm and so supportive at what has been a very difficult time for us."
Asked whether she would go on his show again, Ms Gillard replied: "No, I would not. I haven't spoken to Mr Jones and I don't intend to." ..."

There is only one way you can respond to serial offenders of common civilities and it appears as though Gillard has finally worked it out.

Meanwhile Tony Abbott and Christopher Pyne appear to be grovelling in the entrails attempting to salvage Alan Jones's scalp; flapping around in vomitous self-indignation and self-righteousness. That after having proven recent masters in the use of gutter language during all those 60+ motions to suspend standing orders:

"... It makes me feel vomitous... listening to the hypocrisy dripping, spewing from the mouths of the Labor ministers," Mr Pyne told Sky News ..."

"... "I just think it's very important that we conduct our political debate in civil language, and that's my resolve and it should be the resolve of everyone else." ..."

Really! As of when did you make the change Mr Abbott?
