    I don't believe that $30m figure for one moment. Something amiss there IMO. E.g. By flying a 777 compared to a 747 SYD- LAX return, you would probably save about 120k in fuel alone. That is one flight. I know we are not discussing a/c types here but this just gives you an idea on fuel costs and possible savings. If Qantas are getting hold of fuel at a much cheaper rate than normal, the compound affect/savings of operating hundreds of flights a day on cheaper fuel would be far more than $30m. Also, did you note what I posted before, I was told that QF International has no more responsibility for paying for Jetstar's fuel. HUGE!
